Youth Fireside

I had an awesome time up in Seattle yesterday doing a youth fireside for the Skyway and Tiffany Park Wards. The youth there were wonderful. We had a great night laughing, crying and feeling the spirit. I played seven original songs including In the Arms of Love and I Will Be That One. I really hope to keep doing these firesides. The youth are fantastic and I love spending time with them.

To BEE or not to BEE -- To BEE!

Last month, I was a featured artist at the Multi-stake Multicultural Arts Festival Celebrating the Arts. For eight hours, I read my Bee stories to children and adults and performed the music that went with the stories. I made a narrated movie of Bee Prayerful and the kids just loved it. After a break, I walked into the room and the kids had been replaying the movie for 15 minutes.

So, what I want to know is how many people are interested in these stories and what are your thoughts about having them for your own. I have nine Bee stories based on President Hinckley's Be values and ten original songs -- one for each value and one about all of them. I'm in the process of finding a publisher and they'll love to know if this is something people are interested in. Send me a comment or your name and I'll add you to my growing list. E-mail me at anne_corey@hotmail.com to add your name to the list.

Tacoma Stake Beehive Conference

Thank you!
Thank you, to all you have forwarded the music and are using it in their wards and stakes. On Saturday, I had the opportunity to teach all the Beehives in our stake the song, "I Will Be That One." They sang so beautifully and were excited when I told them they could keep the music. I would love it if you would share your experiences, too!

I Will Be That One

Who doesn't love free music, right? I wrote this song for my daughter, Raechel, who is a young woman struggling to truly find her voice in the world. I wanted to tell her that she can find herself and be confident in who she is by looking to the Savior as her example. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that I wish all the youth could have this message.
As a leader in the Young Women's program, I see the struggle each of my young women have to be who they really are and still live in the world we live in today. My message to all of you is to believe. Believe in yourself, believe in the Savior who sacrificed everything for you, believe that you can make a difference just by being who you are meant to be -- a daughter of God.
Please, enjoy this music. I hope it brings you happiness as it has greatly lifted myself and given me hope.

This song is suitable for YW in Excellence, Mutual Opening Exercises, YW's Girls' Camp, Youth Conferences and EFY. I do not recommend it for Sacrament Services unless the song has been approved by proper priesthood leaders.
